Description:

The purpose of this animation is to teach audience members about the environmental impacts of artificial light at night. To do so, it utilizes a specific case study where light pollution has an impact on moth caterpillar populations. It had been determined in the past that light effects adult months but its impacts on caterpillars is a recent discovery. This assignment practiced animation and compositing techniques. The visuals include 2D and 3D elements to further develop skills in 3ds Max as well as Adobe After Effects.
